Reconstruction, Bracebridge Heath |
||
|
London Road in Bracebridge Heath was closed for around two hours this morning (22 August) while a reconstruction was carried out. This was part of our investigation into a fatal collision that took place shortly before 10am on Monday, 20 July. The collision involved a car and a pedestrian, a man in his 80s, who very sadly died a few days after the incident. The family of the man who died were also present this morning. We would like to thank the vast majority of drivers, pedestrians and also Lincoln City fans - who were making their way to Sincil Bank for today’s game against Portsmouth - for their patience while we carried out this vital reconstruction. However, we were disappointed by two passing football fans for their comments to the investigation team and members of the family. While we understand that delays can be frustrating, the road closure was necessary to allow us to carry out a thorough investigation. As noted, the large majority of those impacted this morning were patient and respectful and we would like to thank them for the patience shown. The stretch of road between Canwick Avenue and Grantham Road has now been re-opened. | ||
